This long thin area of the garden was as the developers had left it.   Following discussion it was decided that we needed to reduce the 'corridor effect', increase interest in this dull area, provide wheelchair access, have an emphasis on herbaceous planting and include a cherished urn as a focal point.

A site survey was undertaken and a scaled outline plan produced.   Planting and paving detail were also designed.

In this garden contractors were called in and the job priced and planned from the scaled drawings

Six months later the planting is only in its first season but already
there is a transformation from what had been an uninspiring part
of the garden

Eighteen months later the garden
is flourishing.
