The combination of an M.Sc. in Landscape Ecology and Design and a diploma in Garden Design allows me to design on all scales, from the wider landscape to small domestic gardens and with my wide plant knowledge I will select those plants best suited to your project. I have been running my own Landscape and Garden Design business since 1994 and have designed and built gardens throughout the West Country.
Consultation
A one-off advisory visit may be all that is required. This will involve general advice on your garden and may be followed up with a report or list of plants suitable for your site.
Design
A full design may be preferred and this could include the following;
Initial discussions
We will talk about your requirements and ideas for the garden, following which I will prepare a brief and submit a quote for drawing up a layout plan.
Site survey
This will include scaled measurements, photographic survey, site assessment and the taking of levels if necessary.
Outline plan
A plan to scale which will present my ideas based on our discussions, the brief and the characteristics
of the site.
Planting plan (or construction drawings)
The planting plan will be accompanied by a plant list.

Project monitoring
Visits during construction are helpful both to the contractor and to yourself
and will maintain communication between us while the garden is being developed.
